where do i put it?? :/

sorry for this extremely stupid question...i just dont know where its supposed to go :/

thanks in advance,

If you've got a sliding screen top on your tank, then have a look at the back, is there a little loop of plastic that sticks out once the lid is slid into place, if so that's where you put the lock :)

Could you post more pics of your terrarium, Maddie? That might help out as there are several different types of terrariums.

From what I've seen of your other pics, you don't have the kind that needs the "lock" I see (also in your pics). It seems that you have a metal lid with metal mesh across the top. You'll need locking "clips" for that one.

The type of terrarium your lock goes to has a sliding lid that has a hole that matches a plastic hole on the actual terrarium as well. On this, you close the lid, thread the lock through both holes and viola... locked lid.

I might have seen things wrong, so more pics would definitely help.

well, the employee that was helping me said to get a 10 gallon aquarium because its cheaper than the 10 gallon terrarium for some reason, and the lid doesnt quite fit right, it hangs over 2 edges about 1/2 an inch

i thought the holes might have something to do with it, but i doubt it :/

hope it worked this time :/

Toi me you don't have a sliding lock type, just a screen cover lid. And even with clip it might not work ith the "2" inch over hang.

need more pic of the lid for ideas...

Yes that works.
I think you have a standard fish tank lid. Which if fine but the one you have is just a tad to big. If you measure you top and in your travels search for proper size one you should be able to use clips. They "hook" on the side of the tank, clip onto the plactic part and then snap over the lid.
If you understand that.

Well, another thought...If you snake is just a hatchling and the tank is under a 20L size, You just might want to wait until the snake grow to an adult and move up to a larger tank ( a 20l or larger) and just use weight on the lid until then. This will save you some Money.

Yeah... the clips will work. I've got a 30-gallon tank with a lid that has the same problem. Clips still work.

You could also bend the ends in a little to get a tighter fit. Did that with my 10-gallon tank lids... don't know why I didn't do it to my 30-gallon lid... LOL.

The "weights" method works too. For me, it is not as aesthetically pleasing. LOL.
