I found a turtle in my hallway!

Hooked for life!!
Hello everyone,

Very long time no see! I hope you are all doing well. Okay so here's the deal. This morning my room mate found a little baby red ear slider turtle in our hallway. We proceeded to ask our other two neighbors if it was their's but they said it wasn't..So now we have this little turtle. However, we have absolutely no space to get it the proper tank and things it needs. Also we are both always on the run so we don't have too much time to spend on another pet (we already have a dog, 2 cats, a corn and a bearded dragon).

If anyone lives in NJ or even NYC and would like a little red ear slider and has had experience with them, please feel free to message me. I want to find a home for this little guy as soon as possible.

Please let me know if there's anything you can do or if you know a place where I could bring it. Thank you so much in advance!

That's neat! All I find in my hallway is dog hair and dust.

You might try posting an ad on Craigslist, as well, so you can attract local people.

Are they local to your area?
And how did it get inside?? I am so confused!

Personally if it is a native species, it probably came in from outside (or... how else would that work? Ah! So cute though), and I'd put it back outdoors. But where I am originally from (not Kitchener like my info says) there are tonnes of wild animals. Wouldn't be odd to find a random animal in your yard and leave it be.

Ohhhh wait. I think I get it now. Do you mean the hallway of your building, and someone purposely left it there (perhaps knowing or hoping you/someone would care for it)? Sorry for that brain fart! Doy.
