So checking on Tyras this morning I spotted a tiny tiny tinyyyyy white/clear/tan bug. Before I could think of anything else, I smooshed it. I don't think it was a mite, maybe a termite(if there is a difference)? I haven't seen them at all before. And so, like good mommy's do, I rushed to the pet store with Tyras in my sleeve. Haha. I wasn't about to put him back in the tank with whatever could have been in there. Nor was I leaving him with my VERY sickly boyfriend. So, I got some zoo med Wipe Out and cleaned the tank. Bleached all the stuff I had, threw out the fake leaves and I'm re-baking the log hide I have. I also decided to buy carefresh, figuring that there wouldn't be any buggies. Any ideas on what it could have been?
Oh, I also gave him a bath before returning him to his clean home.
