I lost my snake

I got a snake the other day and I thought the lid was secure enough but it obviously wasn't when I couldn't find him in the tank this morning. I've kept my room door shut and I know he can't fit under the space there... but where could he be?

There are several threads about loosing a snake, you should read those first. I don't even own a snake of my own yet but I will try to help you anyway from what I've read in the past.

First of all, have you searched the tank really really well? he can be imbedded in the bottom somewhere perhaps?
Otherwise try to look anywhere warm and cousy, your closet? under the bed, anywhere hidden in other words. Don't exclude the possibility he's somewhere high, maybe on top of your closet. :)
If you haven't found him after a while there are heaps of crazy techniques, you can spread out flour or sugar or something around the walls and corners in your room, that way you can see if he's been moving around and you can pinpoint his location with some luck! :)

Anyway, good luck finding him!

Theres about a million places it could be, make sure you check in small dark places, they can squeeze in places a lot smaller than you think. When my snake got loose it cralwed into the closet and was hiding under a pile of clothes. Also look high, I've heard lots of people have found theirs around the top of windows, between dressers and the wall and places like that.

You could also do a seach on this sight, there are lots of posts with good ideas about finding snakes.
