I read all of the posts with people and their feeding problems. But when I got Kiki and Bruno, they ate as soon as I put them in their feeding tubs. Well, these new snakes we got have been a bit more difficult. They completely ignore the pinkeys. Washed, brained, cut open, rubbed with scent. Nothing works with them. I might have to wait a few more days then try live. Karma really kicked my butt when I started gloating to myself about my good eaters!

Have you tried dangling the food item by the tail and moving it around? I find that if they ignore it gently touching them with it will annoy them enough that they will strike, and when they strike you let go and they realise what they have a hold of and eat. That's how I got my Boa switched from live to frozen.

same as

my new blizzard was the same, so what i did was i put her back in the deli cup/clear plastic box that she came with took out the contents (paper towel) as it could stick to the pinky. with the box completely empty i put in a pinky then went shopping, i came home an hour later and she ate it........i guess its the same as normal women being paranoid eating infront of men i guess :grin01:

Well, my little ghost Tia finally ate last night. The petstore in my area haven't had pinkeys(live) in awhile but I was able to get one yesterday. I had to leave her in a little yogurt container. The one serving kind, not the big containers. This way she could not ignore the poor little pinkey. I left her there all night in the cup, in her tank kinda on the warm side. When I checked on her this morning, the pinkey was gone and she had a little lump! Yay!!!!
