:crazy02: first.. i didnt know that they need to be misted (dumb huh?)

then.. i found out i had the wrong tank size..

i had so many others things..

but today.. i finally actually have complete understanding about the "heating situations"

i stuck my temps, on the wall of the tank.. instead of putting it on the substrate

its the substrate were trying to have the correct heat on!!

ZING!!

things keep going over my head.

You are doin a good job.

Make sure you keep asking questions so that you can learn everything you need to take care of your snake :)

And should you decide to eventually get another snake you'll know all this in advance now *cough*

Also they don't *NEED* to be misted, unless they're having issues shedding and you have really low humidity in your house.

Learn from these people, some of them have had many snakes, some of them have had one snake; but they ALL have had snakes.
We only spray our Cheerio before she sheds. We usually get whole sheds complete from nose to tail. She's never done it in my presence but it always looks like she just hooked an edge of her hide and came right out of it.

I have to say, my care wasn't nearly up to par for my first snake, but just like you, it's gotten better and better. I'm sure the snakes are happier and happier.

Good luck with your happy little guy.

Glad to be helping you.

At one point we all looked to someone else to help us give our snake the best life and now you are to which is great. I know that this site helped me get set up and ready for my first snake and it's doing the same for my second one.

Alan, where in NOVA are you?

I have never stopped learning. Once upon a time, I thought I knew all I needed, but then found out something that I didn't know....LOL
Nowadays I realise that there is so much to reptiles that there will always be something new just around the corner. IMO there is probably no-one out there that knows everything.
