:awcrap: Guys i have done a tun of research but all sites/books have different opinions on the size of the cage. i don't have allot of money but what would be a good size? im looking for one my corn can live in for all its life. HELP!!!
P.S. I dont have him yet so no rush meaning i can build my own with plans!:twoguns::madeuce:

We all start out as noobs!

If you want to buy one viv for a corn snake's life, you will need at least a 20 gallon long. Anything larger is fine. Also you will need to provide A LOT of extra hides if you put a baby corn snake in this size viv.

Personally, I think the minimum size you want for an adult Corn is about three feet long, 18 inches deep and 18 inches tall.

If you're building your own, I'd say make it as large as you can afford to - and whatever above the munimum will fit into your home.

P.S. Might be an idea to plan to build two or three... You'll already have seen what happens when folks here buy their first Corn!

Great idea! But... :( all my book shelfs are filled to the brim with books!

Oh Gosh! Then you have a big problem in your hands (sarcasm)... :toiletgra

Go to craigslist/recycler/pennysaver and get an old bookshelf. Just make sure it is waterproof, otherwise you may need to apply sealant. Your best buy would be a melamine bookshelf, which is already waterproof.

i think i read something about the size should be L plus W, equals the length of your snake in inches. For example 12x6 for a 18 inch tank at the smallest.
