Incubator

I was looking at incubators earlier and came across lllreptile.com

I found hovabators as the cheaper, where they have fan ($60) and no-fan ($40) models. Does anyone have experiences with these? I read I may need to be careful with the fan model because of the eggs drying quicker due to increased air circulation. Suggestions?

I also found some crazy Lyon brand reptile incubators, that looked really nice... The cheapest is 500$. (dblrsupply.com)

Any other nice incubators out there? My number one quality I would like the incubator to have is reliability, and also being able to set the incubator to a temp, without having to hook it up to my spyder herpstat.

This is my incubator I've just finished making. It should hold a
good few clutches and cost me about £60/$120 ish.

I have made my own incubator very similar to that of NI Guy's. Before that I used HovaBators. Make sure you get the one that does not have the fan. It tends to dry the eggs out too quickly. Also, they make two models without a fan. One with little windows and one with a big window. I have both and the one with the little windows seems to work just a little better by holding in the humidity just a little better and keeping a better ambient temperature then the one with the big window. I found out I have to adjust the one with the big window by plugging a couple of the air holes to manage the ambient temperature. Not that the one with the big window is bad but the latter seems to work just a little better as you have less maintainance. LLLReptile will be the best place for you to get one as he definitely has the best price......hands down. Overall, if you are looking for an inexpensive, very easy to maintain incubator then the HavaBator will be your best choice. Depending on how many clutches you plan to hatch out I would even suggest getting a second one. Hope this helps.

Thanks, who else has experience with hovabators? Particularly the no-fan model, without the large viewing window. How many clutches can it comfortably hold?

Also any other ideas for a home-made incubator for a similar price (50$)?
