infrared light bulb?

Just a small quick question...I have lots of infrared reptile bulbs from previous reptiles I've own. I was just wondering is the red colored infrared bulb okay to use on my albino corn? I want to make sure before I use it since I know some lights can effect reptiles eyes. thanks

certainly the light wont hurt your snake. But you should be very careful with the temperature. I have heard that it is more difficult to control temp when using heat lamps vs a UTH

Ive used both with my garters and found them to be about the same. My lamp did not attach to the cage but rather sat next to it, so if it got too hot i just moved the lamp back a little.
