hi@

because i expect to have about 60 corn-eggs this year and more then 100 next year i built an inkubator. all parts cost me about 90$ and 7 hours of my life  (including shopping). the inkubator can carry about 150 eggs.

Nice design. The only thing I'd worry about is if you get different clutches hatching at the same time, and the eggs are all together, you might come home to find an oddball hatchling and not know which clutch it came from. I would want to put each clutch in a separate container so the hatchlings don't get mixed up. :)

yes i know the problem, but this years hatchlings are from caramel (amber, caramel, butter), bloodred (bloodred only), sunglow (sunglow, amel. bloodred) and normal (burgundy coming up). so its quite easy to know who´s who. maybe when i´ll see first head, i´ll put the eggs into boxes, cause i don´t want to have any waterdrops on the eggs and i want to have clear sight.

I would be worried about the wood in the incubator, firstly wood rots in heat and water :-( adn that could spread to the eggs - second you need to add alot of gravel to the water or yuor find some how they little hacthlings will drown - dont kid yourself some will always make it. Other than that it looks great :-')

hmmm wood isn´t fixed, so i can put it away, when there is a prob, and of course hatchlings had no chance to drop into the waterarea.
thx for your postings, there is always something which can be done better...next season
