hi i'm woondering if this is normally behavouir good or bad ?

My 3 mnth old amel corn has started coming out of it's cage alot the last week even in the day but it's always trying to get out and keeps bashing it's head agaisnt the glass and even tries getting it's mouth through the tiny slots in the cage i'm scare it will hurt it's self, should i be worried ?

Sounds like pretty normal exploring behaviour now that your new arrival has settled into its new home. Try adding more hides and ground cover to the cage to give it more inside the tank to explore.

If it's rubbing its mouth then it could be coming up to a shed. The skin first loosens at the snout and this is where the shed will start.

thank you bitsy x i did wonder if it was shedding, because it is also rubbing this body against the plastic plants i have in the hide like it's scratching but i've been told it's eyes will be blue but this hasn't happened yet.

i ment it's viv not hide lol i'm trying to get used to all the jargon ha ha

Sometimes the "blue" phase is easy to miss in the lighter morphs. They eyes get more of a pale greyish sheen to them than properly blue (I've always thought that term was a bit misleading!) and in youngsters this might only last a day or two.
