Is this paint safe for snakes?

Snakes Newbie
I'm currently working on creating a natural rock formation. I'm about to get to the stage where I paint and seal it, but I'm not sure about the paint I'm going to use. The paint I purchased it something like this http://www.krylon.com/products/make_it_stone_metallic_textured_paints/
and then I had intended on sealing it. Would this be safe for the snake, or should I buy a different paint?

The paint is/was going to be sprayed on a layer of dried grout.

If you look up the MSDS for the paint you linked to you will see that the solvent is Naphtha. This makes the paint in questions what we used to refer to as an Enamel paint. If you let the paint dry completely (for a week or so) it is perfectly safe.

Thank you for the informative reply! I'm not very familiar with the various paint solutions, and you've been a great help.

I even have krylon in my fish tanks. It's great stuff!

Don't forget to show us photos! ;)

It all comes down to how many coats you plan to put on the snake...

Nah kidding Krylon is usually good stuff, as long as it's completely dry and aired out.

Hehe, thanks for the replies. I'm taking multiple pictures of each step. If it turns out decent I'll post a "My version of.." DIY.

If it tuns out crappy, I'll post a single picture of my failure. ;}
