Is this the right size UTH?

Hi,
I was wondering if this size UTH is too small or too big. It's for a Lee's Breeder Plastic Box (Large: 17 3/4"Wx 12"Dx 7"H). And I'm thinking of buying a Zoo Med UTH (up to 5 Gallon - 4 in. x 5 in - 4 Watt). What about the extra small UTH for hermit crabs? Any advice?
Thanks!

I'd almost say that's a tad small. I try to get one that is close to the same width as the tank and about 1/3-1/2 the length of the tank. The floor dimensions of my tank is 12"Wx33"L, so I got a UTH that is 10"x11".

Check with the manufacturer. ZooMed does not recommend the use on wood or plastic except for the small 4" x 5".

i would recomend you use flexwatt. you can order it from big apple herps. Use there viv fitting. Get one that covers half of the bottom of the tank. (i don't know what kind of tank you are using.) Wait... are you using tubs? thats a whole different ball game........

Yeah...I forgot about the whole plastic thing. My bad. I did check out Big Apple and I like the Dragon's Lair Mats. Has anyone tried these? Thanks everyone for your help.
