Is vinegar/baking soda on food harmful?

I have done searches for the answer to this but can't find it so now will ask you all. (I know you don't like to be the same questions over and over.)
I have been buying frozen feeders online but decided it would be better to raise our own. We raised a litter of feeder rats, found the instructions for "doing the deed" here but while using the vinegar and baking soda we accidently spilled some on the feeders. I'm afraid we didn't do too well either because a few were still not quite dead but pretty out of it. We used the seal-a-meal and then put them in the freezer. My question (and worry) is will the vinegar/baking soda deter the snakes from eating these rats and if they do eat ok, will it be harmful to them???
Thank you so much in advance.

Just rinse them off well and they should be ok. Next time please use dry ice or co2 tanks or if you do use vinegar again do it properly so the rats are dead before you vacuum seal them. That would be a pretty painful death to be vacuumed and frozen alive. Or if they are still conscious, you can do cervical dislocation to be sure they are dead first.

Thanks for answering my question. I was hoping that rinsing would be ok.
We certainly did not mean to do it improperly. I would never do anything to cause pain and/or suffering to another living thing on purpose. I feel bad that it was not a swift and easy death for all the rats, but we did learn from it. I know it doesn't help those rats but will the next litter.
Thank you again.
