i got a question trying to regulate the temp, i placed the probe of the themomter on the glass under the aspen, the temp is reading 88, but my question is isnt this higher than the temp on top of the aspen? the aspen will hold heat in it, i have moved the aspen from on top of the probe and it dropped to 86 in a couple of seconds. So where is the best place to put the probe, and get an accurate reading. my cold side right now is reading 72-73, i didnt get a digital one with a probe for the cold side just a regular stick on. (but not the flat ones that go against the glass).

where you have it under the substrate is right. It should measure the hottest spot your snake can reach. It's a bit on the warm side though. Most people have theirs set at about 83-85 on the very bottom.

Mine is set at that and gives about 80 in her warm hide but she can burrow for warmer temps if she wants the, cool hide is about 70.

Great job setting up pre-snake

ok thanks im going to dial down the temp some i got 2 days to play with it to get just right before the sanke comes

Looks like you've get everything a neonate corn could ask for! Except for...TOYS! Since I'm a nerd I like sticking action figures and things in my tanks, so...yeah...:crazy02:

Great job in preparations! Can't wait to see the little one.
