Hello all,
I'm having some problems with my corn snake that I purchased at a pet store approximately 6 or 7 weeks ago. It's about 12+/- inches long so I am assuming it is very young. It has not eaten anything since I brought it home and I know that they are supposed to eat about once a week. I have just recently (within the last 2-3 weeks) added an additional heat source (a side mounted heating pad) to ensure the tank is warm enough. I noticed yesterday that my snakes eyes are very cloudy blue and I know that this is commonly a sign of shedding. I know some snakes will not eat when they are trying to shed, but I'm guessing my snake hasn't been in the shedding process for six weeks now because it's highly unlikely. I've tried to feed him pinkies on numerous occasions, but can't seem to get the snake to eat anything. I've tried an assortment of boxes/feeding containers such as; small diaper box, shoe box, and in it's own cage. I've also cut the pinkies in two so that my snake could smell it better and so forth. I also have tried to rub the pinkies up against my snake. I'm running out of options and I am scared that my snake might be sick or something... Help please!
