well, we went over to Sea World in San Antonio yesterday as Jack Hanna had a couple of shows with some of his animals. i did learn a few things about bears that were interesting (grizzly can run the 100 yd dash in 6 seconds) and saw some other neat species..........but wanted to share some more info with yall. he will be on letterman tomorrow night (monday, nov. 6th) with some animals also. but, the one that he did mention that will be on there is the largest zoological captive snake in the world. he said that he would not even get to see it until right before the show, but that it is 25' long and weighs in at 304 lbs. he did have boa and albino python with him yesterday but both were in the 10-12' range and 35-45 lbs........it will be neat to see something that big on Dave's desk......anyway, just some fyi.

Bob Clark will be there tomarow also. with is retic fluffy . who is the larges snake in captivity.

well i will be sure to check that out! 25 feet? wow...my pet store has the largest snake in the snake...i believe he is around 18 ft? hes a reticulated python whom my boss feeds bunnies, thats a show! lol

I wish I could catch that, but getting up at 5:30AM doesn't leave much late night viewing for me.

The retic at the Memphis Zoo is 21 feet long and eats piglets. One of these days I'm going to make it there on the day they feed her.

i have the same wake up time........might try to record it and watch tuesday evening. :)

Sometimes I wish we had cable or satalite here, but I suppose I'll just have to read the tales of what went on here... we don't get very good reception without paying for at least cable, and we don't even have basic...

For those watching the program - let me know how it turned out!
