jungles??? i never knew!

tsuki

snake charmer
i did not know that inter-species breeding was possible between snakes. then i started searching on here. holly molly! those are some wicked looking snakes. do people think the value of a mix breed snake is lower than that of a morph?

how are they created? male/female-king/corn or does it matter? does it have to be a cali king? or can it be mexican king? this is interesting and i gotta search more. till then, im off to work.

any info to help my curiosity is greatly appreciated.

I just know that it is a GREATLY heated discussion amongst enthusiasts. Most people here seem to be of the frame of mind that hybrids are okay as long as they are labeled clearly, and not mixed back into straight corn snake bloodlines to alter the genetics of the "pure" lines.

I have a striped albino jungle corn, and he is probably the funnest snake I have. Very active and exploring all the time. He also has a glossier texture than my corn snake silky.

Breeders have been making Jungle Corns for over 20 years. In general hybrids do not sell as well as "pure" snakes. Most people think of them as "mutts." Part of the problem with hybrids is that they cannot be selectively bred to refine traits. Therefore you get a wide range of different-looking offspring, not all of which will be appealing to the average hobbyist.
