Im getting my second corn snake soon, as my first one died after 17 years.. I know most about them, but i have forgot some things. First, will a baby - medium sized corn snake be ok in a 10 gallon tank? I have an extra one, and im trying to spend as little money possible. Second, are 2 hides needed? Or could i just have one on the warm side, and a bush or something on the cool side? The water bowl i have is pretty big, so the tank doesn't have enough room for 2 hides.

Congrats on getting your new friend ... soon! I have my baby corn (9 months) in a 10 gal for now, till he out grows it. Not sure exactly when that will be. But then I'll need to get him into a larger living space. You may want to find a smaller water bowl and get a second hide. You can even make a hide ... snakes don't care how they look. That will be important especially in the summer when temps climb. Your snake will want a cooler spot to hang out and will need a hide. Send us a pic or two when you get your new one!
