• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Just some quick gender help?

SnakeDipperSnipper

Dipper Pines is a snake
So the breeder told us that he was a male, I just wish to be sure
heres the best pic of a tail I could get with Snips moving about

sorry for this common question.
And in terms of behavior is there any key differences? Snipper will not be used for breeding and is just a dear family pet.

There are no FOR SURE ways to tell the sex just based on the tail. You can make a guess, but that's about it. The only way to 100% guarantee the sex is by popping or probing by a professional, which the breeder probably already did and that's how they know it's a male.
If he won't be used for breeding then whether it's a male or female shouldn't matter.

And no, there aren't any behavioral differences between males and females.

Is it a boy or a girl

This may not be 100 percent accurate but I have been right more than wrong using this diagram
