Keeping a snake cool in 100+ temps?

My AC is out and transporting my snake to someone else's home is not really feasible. Is there a safe way to keep a gradient going? Put an ice pack under the glass at one end of the tank, maybe?

If I can't work out a way to keep him cool inside I can take him down to the clubhouse in a paper sack but if anyone sees they will flip out and cause problems so I would like to avoid that. Also leaving the apartment means not being here when maintenance comes to fix the AC.

Thanks in advance!

We would place frozen wet towels over one side of the container and change them every so often. Fans are good too. A large bowl for soaking can be nice.

Doing all of the above, thanks! Seems to be keeping the cool side cool, the warm side is very gradually creeping up, but not scary yet.
