kinda worried.......

Hello, weeks from 2day he ate 2 pinks. I offered him 2 pinks the week after he ate the 2 pinks and no luck. so I offered him 2 more every day til last night when I saw this morning he only ate one. So its been 2 weeks before he finally eats again and then eats 1 instead of 2. Is it because of the upcoming winter or what? He still has a nice size buldge. Maybe I just offered him a good sized pink. The pink was looking a little bigger because I asked for a big pink. What do ya'll think? Thanks

He's fine. He's probably refusing it because you've been offering every day. Wait a few days before trying again. :)

And while I'm on the subject, if you don't already know, the pinks that you offered him already must be discarded. NOT refrozen and rethawed (I assume you're feeding frozen).

I would just stick with one pink. At least he is eating the one, so he is not starving. I read that sometimes having two pinks there at the same time might stress them a bit. About the winter season, I don't know if many snakes start eating less on their own, but I have noticed that my snake is also switched suddenly to a new feeding schedule. He was up to two adult mice every 10 days, but then dropped back down to one every seven days, and now I have to wiggle the mouse in front of him just to get him to take it once every 12 days or so. But since he is acting fine and looks healthy, I'm not too worried.

When you feed a snake, only offer one prey item at a time. Let the snake eat the first one, and watch the bulge go about half way down. Then offer the second one.

if the Snake refuses to eat, then you need to wat at least 5 days to offer again. Offering everyday, and the snake refusing every day, can and will lead to the snake refusing that particular food item all the time.

If you have your snake at a constant temp, and you have him in an insulated house that doesn't have drastic changes in climate according to outside climat, then your snake will not notice the change in the temp from summer to winter. Most people will slow down the feeding rate of snakes that they are planning on brumating. This is something that a person has to do to teach the snake what they should do at a certain time of the year. If your snake has been brumated before, then he may already know the procedure and be doing it himself. None of my snakes have been brumated, except for maybe the newest one and I will have to ask the previous owner about that, but they eat the same amount through out the year, even though my house's inside climate changes with outside beings it isn't insulated and doesn't have central heat or air conditioning.
