Yep, I admit. I'm a yarn dork. I enjoy trips to my LYS (Local Yarn Store) almost as much as trips to the pet store. I love buying pretty colors and types and patterns of yarn to make socks and dolls and EVERYTHING.

I really love doing Amigurumis. These are Japanese single-crochet dolls. I just finished one yesterday.

Everyone else, show me your pretties!

What does everyone else make? I'll be posting more pictures of my projects as I finish them! Now, back to that headband I was making...

Ravelry.com is AWESOME, go there!

Yep, I use knitty.com too (Calorimetry is great! love that headband!)

Where are the PICTURES?!? :)

I'm a terrible slacker, and much better at starting projects than finishing the, there's not much to take pictures of ;) I'll try to get some up later though.

I can't knit or crochet at all, but I love seeing other people's skill and creativity! That doll is great!

Thanks J9!

I have more completed stuff at home. More pictures! At work now though.

Come on! Suzy! Everyone who plays with YARN! Show me your projects!

Single me out, why don't you? :p I'm still "working" on a blanket for my Niece. She was supposed to get it before she was born, and she's 2 now. LOL - I'll try to get pictures of the progress so far. I really need to get busy on that again.

Darcy, I love that first picture you posted. After I finish this blanket, my next mission is to learn how to crochet. So I'm thinking it'll be about 5 years.

My mom used to knit a lot and taught me when I was young. My grandmother also showed me how to crochet and I tried to pick up again a couple years ago, unsuccessfully. I really should give it another go as both are quite fun. Keep sharing the projects, it's good motivation.

Oh my goodness.

Let's see, completed projects?

1 crocheted baby blanket, one knitted baby blanket, 3 hats, 3 pairs of fingerless gloves, 3 scarves(one out of an awesome hand-dyed wool!), 2 headbands, 2 pairs of socks, 5 turtle stuffed animals, 1 elephant, 1 female bear like the monkey, 2 "alien bunnies", 1 weird little alien guy, 4 wee little critters, my Small Green Monkey, above, and, uh... I don't remember what else.

Works in progress? Is that even a Pandora's box I want to open? Lol I may run away screaming. Ones that I can remember:

knitted mohair scarf, Central Park Hoodie, crochet blanket, wool shawl, gloves/scarves/socks galore. A deer. A cat. More alien bunnies. A baby sweater.

Lol but it's still fun!

Now where are my other pictures?!?

Lol I'll take some of my finished and unfinished stuff soon!

I'm crocheting a blanket....started a week before Christmas and I'm almost done now. I got most of it done in just a week but then I slacked off for three months :p

You know they don't look oriental at all. Hmm?

It's the single crochet in the round without joining rows and using increases and decreases for shaping.

Do I really need to bury you in terminology, hmmm?

Lol they are fun to do anyway!

Come on sillies! Post your projects!

Keep in mind: crochet is MUCH easier on you sanity than knitting. So if you're waffling... (this is going to be terrible!) then get to hooking!

Lol that, and in order to do knitting projects, you need 1 billion needle sizes, lengths, and point types. Crochet? What size hook? H? Ok, good to go.

To the top!

I personally don't knit but my grandmother does, she knitted my baby blanket, she has knitted all of us Grandchildren (and three Great Granddaughters) baby blankets =]

I love knitting! I have to admit I haven't had much time lately but I have a scarf in the works (that the dog chewed the end of and now have to fix AND figure out how to get the pattern going again).

I acually taught myself to knit using videos and sites online about two/three years ago.

this is a sweater I knit for my dd a couple of years ago.
