Late Season Finds

Haven't posted lately because of work and family functions and just
haven't had a lot of Snake "issues" lately. Mine are growing and doing well
and I haven't seen as many this year during the normal season as I usually
do...however, I ran up on a couple of late season finds that got me
energized again. Sorry for the poor quality images, but I didn't have my
camera with me at the time, so these were taken with my ancient cell
phone.

Ran up on this little terror a couple of weeks ago. This little badass
was about 8" long and started striking at my shadow as soon as it got
close to him. .. a young Water Moccasin that got really calm after I
snapped the picture and didn't show any more signs of aggression when
I got the hook out of the truck and moved him from the road to the
brush (out of harms way)

Found this little Rough Green Snake a couple of days ago, not far from
the same spot where I saw the Moccasin. I used to catch these things
(2-3 a week) when I lived in the Upstate (S.C.), but for some reason, I
haven't seen one since my mid/late 20s. Finding this one brought back a
lot of fun memories.
