From what I have heard and read feeding your snake live food items that still have thier eyes closed (pinks and fuzzies) SHOULDN'T be a problem they are small enough that they really can't do damage to your little guy. The you tried feeding frozen thawed? Or pre-killed? Next time you feed take a pre killed or frozen thawed put it in a different container. One of those little Glad dishes work really well (just make sure there are air holes) Put the mouse in there then add your snake. And close lid tightly. Put it back in cage and close lid. Leave him alone for a while or over night and maybe just maybe he will take to this new style of feeding so you'll be safe when he grows up and needs adult mice or rats. Now those can do some serious damage to your corn! Hope this helps you somewhat...

There is one potential problem with feeding live fuzzies. If your snake does not kill the mouse before swallowing the mouse will claw and squirm around in your snake's throat and stomach, possibly causing some damage to the delicate esophageal lining, and in most cases it results in a regurge, but it can possibly lead to infection, swelling, and death if not treated.

This is a big problem in weak snakes (i.e. recovering from recent illness), since they don't have the strength to constrict and will simply swallow the mouse while it's still alive and clawing.

However, if your snake always constricts his prey, then you might be able to feed it a live fuzzy without too much trouble. However, if you feed multiple in a row, just a note that snakes with even a semi-full stomach have trouble constricting.
