Live plants in bp vivarium

I have just finished building a new viv for my 7 year old and it looks really plain can i put live plants in with her, I have some in my corns viv and they work really well even when they climb all over them. if not what other sort of things do people in with their bps.
 
I am thinking a BP will be too heavy bodied for most, if not all plants. Maybe look into some silk plants? There's a wide variety sold at most pet stores.
