Sorry i just had to post this on here.
On repticzone (a forum im mostly on)theres a lass that keeps 2 hatchlings and two adult corns together.
She has a saying "Clearly corn snakes are social animals or else they would have a reputation as a kingsnake does."

No, she's right. When I used to cohabitate, the males would fight over who sat at the head of table at tea time. There would be a terrible row... :grin01:

Oh tra-la-la....would you care for one lump, or two! Good lord, who teaches these people!?

Ive posted lots of pics of corns eating corns etc.But all the owners say "o theres only a 1 in a million chance of that happening"its getting pretty annoying now trying to convert them.

Yep,i feel like sitting back and waiting for an accident to happen. Then saying "i told you so"

Out of curiosity I went and looked (never been there before) and I have to say I like this site so much better. The community just seems friendlier and believe it or not knows how to use punctuation and correct spelling (at least most of the time). You won't catch me over there browsing - I can find everything I need right here and get opinions from every viewpoint imaginable.

Ok now I've justed added myself there. And so I have an Idea. Just to see how many things people I say what I am doing is wrong. lol Just follow the threads posted by Northern_Rock* thats me. I just wanna see how many people say what I am doing is wrong.

Never heard of the forum before but had a browse out of curiosity.

On the thread about housing Corns together:

"Thats bologna! You CAN put them together. My grandfather has 27 snakes in a 3 foot cage and they just snuggle with each other. He has both full grown ones, and ones as small as 1/2 inch in diameter. as long as you dont have very large ones and babies together, there is no need to worry. and, dont contradict me, i know what i am talking about. Put the snakes together, and as long as they have their own seperate huts or hideaways, and some space, they will do fine."

WTF?!?!?!?

27 of them in a 3 foot cage!!!!

Regardless of your thoughts on co-habiting, thats just plain old over-crowding.

Nah, don't troll over there. Next thing you know they'll be doing it here.

I used to be on that board as well. I quit going because I just got so aggravated with some of the people on there. So many "experts" giving out bad advice. I'd try to give out correct advice, and would get blasted for it.

I remember there was this one kid who thought he was the world's foremost expert on corn snakes, yet about 90% of the info he gave out was incorrect. A lot of them over there are like that.

I like this forum so much better. The folks here are so much more knowledgable and so much more MATURE than at RepticZone.

Twenty seven snakes in a three foot cage will snuggle together because they will have no other choice! How in the world can anyone do this and think it's OK? It's just negligence bordering on cruelty if you ask me. And this person goes on to talk about giving the snakes some space....

Another good example of why I left that board...

and "as long as they have their own hides", WHAT?! How can 27 snakes in a 3 foot space have their own hides?
