Did he shed recently? I would think that's some skin left from a bad shed. If he didn't shed recently go to your vet and check it out. :shrugs:

Ok well then in that case, I'm not sure this is a first time seeing this. I'd wait about 2 days and see if it goes away. Or take it to the vet.
Sorry I wasn't much of a help :shrugs:

Cursed Witch show some pictures like that a while back... I think a shed solved that problem. Check the humidity levels to see if their up and wait for the shed.

yeah i checked the humidity and it might be too low it was 29%..I misted the viv i think i should try that until he sheds the next time..the other snake shed and it was fine but when he was in blue i misted him everyday and i put a damp towel on the viv..i might try that now that its been cold and our heat is on all the time..thanks for the advise..i thought maybe he was getting caught on a sharp edge in his hide so now thats sanded down so we will see
(mom typed this :crazy02: )

It definately looks like skin left from the last shed instead of scales. I think your best bet may be putting in a moist hide, or atleast mist each day. The humidity does seem a bit low. Good luck on your next shed.

Sorry for asking that before but we had a few new members that were older than 10 that type like a two years old...

I think the humidity is important only during the shed cycle. Keeping it in the range 0f 40-50%. And I think that it vary with the snake itself. Some might need higher level than others. :shrugs: It's just a part of learning to know your snake.

Good Luck.

its ok to ask..im lerning how to type and my mom is usally here so we can read together. I don't read good sometimes. I have to take tests so I am sorry when its hard to read what I type. Thank you for all your advise I love my snakes and I think they like us to.

Hey Coolsnakesky,
I think you type good! I'm the one who can't spell! Ha!
I'm glad there is a spell checker here.
I'm also glad that you notice the skin on you snake. It show that you’re a good owner. who cares about your snake. I think it's cool that your mom and you share a interest in snakes.

Good Luck

well we have put a towel over the tank and misted him everyday and the loose stuff seems to have disappeared..hopefully thats all ..so thanks for all the good advise

my snow corn's head did that too.
not to worry, it worked itself out.
just make sure humidity is good (and the wet towel is a great idea)
make sure you have a good sized water dish for him/her too.
your snake will be fine---good luck in all that you do!
