Lost Snake..Eating Birds?

My snake has been missing for about a week..I've searched everywhere and can't find him. I currently have his hide, water bowl, and the mouse/bottle trap in a dark corner. I really don't know how big of prey they would try to feed on..but we have a really old house and there is a birds nest in my wall..I'm wondering if he could have gotten in there and tried to eat the babies...Or worse..they tried to eat him.
Comments? Suggestions?

Corns are opportunistic feeders so I would suppose if they came on a nest of young birds they would eat them. Adult birds would definitely be a problem if he's small. Good luck finding him.

Although they could do so and would eat them if fed them, it is more likely that your snake is either hidding in some "comfy" spot and seeing as they can curl up very small they could be anywhere, or, seeing as you are concerned that it may have gotten into the walls to get the birds I am assuming it can get into there, so if indeed it could, then it just could be "lost" in the walls or found a way outside via that route since obviously the birds can get in.

My suggestion is keep the traps out for it and look in everything you can think of, especially things up higher, I have found most of the snakes that had gotten loose up high or in a box.

Good luck, but I wouldn't be concerned about the birds doing the snake any harm, just that the snake may now be outside instead of inside the house.

Thanks! I don't think he would have left my room but I'm checking all possibilities..I've been looking everywhere imaginable but I'm not giving up.

When all imaginable places have been checked, check the LAST place you'd EXPECT to find your snake...many have turned up!

Yeah, that's what I've been reading. I looked EVERYWHERE....stripped my bed, pillowcases, boxes, entertainment center, basement, all rooms in the house, drawers under my bed..etc..I've also left out the mouse in a bottle, his hide, water dish, left my heater on...I don't know what else there is to do!
Thanks
