Lump on Snow corn

I wonder if somebody might have an idea what this might be. Its appeared quite suddenly on the back of the corn. Its seems to be on its spine. Its only a yearling, but its a big snake for a yearling.

Has anybody seen this before, and if so, is there anything that can be done for the snake?

Thank you for your help.

Pictures would help, otherwise we'd just be making guesses that are most likely way off.

Yep, pictures would be a necessity to even make a guess.

Hi everybody, well, I had a message from my friend this morning, she said she took her snow to the vet, and was told that its a genetic problem, where the spine fuses when it grows. As its only a yearling, he said it is going to get worse.

Has anybody heard about this before? What causes it? Is there anything that can be done to help it, or alleviate the symptoms?

Thank you for your help. :)

There was a thread about this not too long ago. Someone else had a snake with this problem. Maybe if you search, you can find it.
