My brother ,Max just got a new snake. To me it looks like a male but I am looking for a second opinion as i am not v. experienced.

It was a really good buy too, a over five foot nicely coloured male for twenty quid!

I have to agree, although the tail seems kinda short it does not taper past the vent. Gotta be a male :cheers:
 
I think that its jus the angle, max took the picture while holding the snake by himself, so it is kinda from above
 
Yeah, it's tough to get good ventral shots, but there's no mistaking the thickness past the vent IMO. By the way, what would 20 quid be in US Dollars? :cheers:

From that picture, I'd would say male also. I'd be surprised if it probed female, but hey, life is full of surprises...lol. :)
