Mice Disease

I would love some advice on what happened to the mice.
One female in a colony gave birth and all was fine, after removing the pinkies she refused to eat. OK, that didn't worry me as I thought it may be post natal stress. Them I noticed she looked "wet". This wet look continued to spread over her body and she lost weight fast, then she sneezed. That was the end for her, she was immediately euthenized (sp?). That was 4 days ago, this morning the male started to look the same, he met the same fate.
My questions are, what is the problem (their tubs are cleaned completely twice a week), and is that "problem" likely to affect the other colonies?
Many thanks in advance for ANY help.

hey something like that happend to a mouse i used to have it was really strange we never got to the bottom of it. ithought at the time it could be something in the food possible to much clorine or somehting in the water who knows. strange though. why dont you take one to a vet or ask someone from a pet store they could no?
