What to type here?
Well I've noticed a few people on here from The Proud Mitt, and figured we should have our own thread to connect on.

Katie (Forum name: Maligator) and I are looking to head to the reptile shows in Taylor and Grand Rapids in the near future. Anyone else going to be heading to either of them? If so it would be neat to meet up.
 
My daughter just went to the Grand Rapids show last weekend. It's an alright show, but small. Depending on what your looking for, you'd probably have better luck at the Taylor show. I live about 30 miles from the GR show and we get our feeders there.
We've talked about trying to get to the Taylor show and maybe one of these days we'll make it there.
 
Being in EL we are about dead in the center between the two (a bit closer to GR), we are just going to browse and look around. We have come to terms that they most likely won't have what is on our "next to buy list", but we never know. How are the prices for feeders there?
 
Are those two the only shows/expos in Michigan??? You would think there would be a larger one in Novi (at least once a year?) They have expos for basically everything there! I guess there aren't many Michigan folk into herps?
 
Those are the only 2 shows that I know of. Prices on feeders if you don't need large quantities are pretty good. We picked up half dozen large mice and half dozen hoppers for 6 bucks at the last show. The only critter I've been wanting to get to add to my family is a black milk snake, and I've yet to see one at the GR show. If you and your wife ever decide to go to the GR show let me know I'd love to meet up with you. I've yet to meet anyone from here and I think it would be nice.
 
I usually go to the Taylor show but last month was pretty small, so I am skipping it today. Would be great if they would do something big at the Rock Financial place in Novi.

I think it'd be great to meet some people from cs.com! I'm extremely excited to go to a show - just because we haven't been to one yet and am dying to see what they're all about. If we go anytime soon, we will definitely let you know so we can meet!
 
Lovely picture of the bridge, did you take it yourself?

I have ties to the U.P. (lots of family up there, went to NMU for a couple years) but I rarely make it to the lower peninsula unfortunately.

i was gonna go in janurary, my bf has to work during this months show.
do you know where it's moving to?
 
I didn't go last month because October was sorta small, but I do try and make it everything month normally though. Wish it was bigger, maybe someday
