Missed shed??

I read somewhere that once a corn starts to shed it needs to be done within 24 hours? Is this right?

My snake was due to shed, went through blue phase and bout 2 days later i thought i saw some skin hanging off, kind of like a bad shed.

That was 2 days ago now and I searched the entire tank for the shed skin today, couldn't find it at all anywhere. I have aspen in the bottom, so could the skin have come off in pieces and dried up so i cant find them? Should I be worried if he didn't finish shedding? Or try soaking him in water/damp moss?
 
To me it sounds like it hasn't shed yet. From "blue" to it shed it's skin could be ten days. So just keep the humidity at around 40-50% until the shed.
 
It's just weird because i thought i saw some shed right past his head, and both my snakes usually shed 2-3 days after blue.
 
:shrugs: My snakes have never done that. Usually after their eyes goes "blue" it a week or so before they shed.
 
well, i guess i got too excited because its been 20 min since i posted this and he JUST shed. Good news to me! =) thanks for reply though.
