Mites

So, in the past couple days i've found two mites on my snake that i've had for about 3 weeks now. I've checked it over, and those are the only two i've seen.. But i decided i should get some kind of mite treatment to be on the safe side. The only two mite treatments the pet shop had were reptile relief, and something by ZooMed. Since i'd heard reptile relief mentioned before, i decided to go with that.

Anyway... It says on the directions not to spray it on the eyes/face area. But i thought that that was one of the main places that mites hid?

And.. it doesn't say anything about rinsing it off afterward on the directions, but i've read some people online say that you're supposed to rinse them off and soak them afterward?..

If anyone with experience using Reptile Relief could give me some tips or tell me what they do, it would be appreciated :)

I've just always followed the directions on the bottle. Spray it onto paper towels or a wash cloth depending on the size of the snake I'm treating and rub it in, staying away from their eyes, mouth and nostrils as much as possible. I've never rinsed them off but be sure not to do it right after a snake has shed.

Mites on my new baby

I am a newbee. I bought my 3-4 month old corn, Gaia, last Friday and have been handling her everyday. Today is the first time I noticed some black speck crawling on the paper towel on the bottom of the tank and as I was feeding her noticed "lumps" on her head. What is the safest treatment for mites on a 4 month old?
