Mixed Diet

Michael
I was thinking about feeding a corn snake a baby chicken or small lizard on the rare occasion to provide a mixture of diet..... Is this a bad idea? Is it unhealthy? I know they eat similar food items in the wild, but I also know they are generally less nutritious than rodents. Also worried it could spark issues with feeding habits. Input?

Thanks

Chicks are fine now and then if the corn is big enough. However, I wouldn't offer anything really different like a lizard. Chicks, mice, rats, and maybe ASFs are varied enough.

Although, you can offer slices of hard boiled eggs if you feel like trying that. My two corns usually accept a few pieces of the white, but it seems hard to get down. Might try wetting slices next time. Both my girls have been wary of hard boiled eggs but always accept the white, but are unsure what the yolk is, though sometimes they eat that.
