Here's the final tally for the 3 clutches I have this year:

My Hypo/Lavender/Bloodred het laid 18 good eggs on 5/24. They all look good.

My ghost, which I bred to the male triple het from the pair above, laid 15 eggs on 6/21. I'm pretty sure 13 are good.

My okeetee pair (Abbot's x Love's) didn't fair so well. She just laid 2 good eggs, 10 definite slugs and one possible good egg (3/4 of it looks good and the last 1/4 looks slug-like). The first 2 eggs were the good ones, the suspect egg was third, and she spent 18 hours pushing out the rest.

At least the multi generation projects are doing ok at this point.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. My Okeetees consistently lay slug free clutches of 16-18 eggs each year. Sounds like you've got a couple other good clutches though.

I'm sure the problem is pilot error. I bred the other pairs at least three times each. This pair, I bred 3 times and she went through what should have been a pre-lay shed. I test bred them again, and they did it. I should have bred them a few more times, but didn't. It should be noted, this is the first year breeding for both the male and the female.

I rarely breed more than 3 times. Once the female stops showing immediate interest in the male, I don't bother any more. I occasionally manage to get one more breeding in there, but I usually wait 3 days in between each introduction and so 3 hookups is what I get on average before the female is not interested.
