My 2015 Hatchlings

It is so good to be on the other side of the world at the moment. Simply because I get to see hatchlings the whole year round.

Where you all are pairing up now, my eggs are only starting to hatch now.

My first clutch hatched 12 days ago. While it was a dissapointing affair, I got a surprise result.

Male Snow Motley x Female Normal (No Known hets), out of 24 eggs layed if memory serves me correctly, 5 were viable and 3 only hatched. You no doubt agree, dissapointing indeed. But then came the surprise when the 3 eggs hatched.

Baby 1

Baby 2

Baby 3

I am currently waiting for one more clutch of 15 eggs to hatch, so, watch this space.

Thanks for the Congrats. Sadly no Amel Motleys.
These three babies are however Amel het Anery, het Motley.

And so the second clutch hatched. out of fifteen eggs, the totals are as follows. 13 live, 1 died a few hours after hatching???, 1 DIE.
Of the 13 live babies i have 7 Snow and 6 Amel. out of the clutch it was 9 Snow and 6 Amel. Not bad for Snow Motley x Amel (Unknown hets).

My totals out of two clutches are as follows.

7 x Snow het Motley.
9 x Amel het Anery & Motley.

Not a great season, but at least 16 babies made it out of 20 eggs.

Pics of the second clutch will follow during the week.
