This is from a breeding of two different Amelenistic Black rats to see if they were both the same strain of Albino or if they would produce regular double hets...I guess their Amel genes are compatible..this little guy looks pink!

Here is the mom and Dad. She is a pink color,verrry light..and he is a bright orange color.

Congrats Dawn. :cheers: It'll be interesting to see what the other hatchlings in the clutch look like considering how different the parents are. I wonder if the parents are still homo for two different amel strains, but at least one is het for the other. :shrugs:

And before anyone points it out, I'm aware that these aren't corn snakes. If Dawn posted these in the wrong sub-forum, we can give her a pass this time. :)

At this early stage of being new born it is hard to say what their true color will be, but it appears they will all look the same and have a color that is between the two parents original shades. Oh..and they have a LOT of spunk. When removing this group, one of them bit another one on the head and shook it like it was a dog toy!
