My first two snakes?

First off, calm down! What level of experience keeping herps have you got? Before you can run, walk. Find out by using the search and faq sections here about the basics of raising a corn snake. Buy 'the cornsnake manual'. Read it. Read it more. ask specific questions here. Read up more. Start getting your setup ready. Read more and ask any questions that are realy stumping you. Then think about getting a snake. Read more. And so on.
I'm not trying to put you off or make assumptions about you from your posting, but a lot of your questions could be answered by yourself through some basic research. But if you do get a snake, remember, we will demand photos!

And as I stated in your other post.....patience!!!! These things take time. If you do this properly it will be at LEAST 3 years before you breed.

If you do not know how to breed them then why were you giving advice on incubating eggs to another member in this post...

thats alot

I heard that all you need is sand, heater, and and empty ice cream container. Then make sure that the lid is closed but every few day look in on them and let fresh air in. That works for me! :)

heres the link

He did say that "He heard" that's how it went, but I can see how that could be taken as giving advice. But yeah, this is a place for learning everything you can before you try it out.

Well this is a BROAD subject...there are books on this...you can't just come in and say you need advice, we don't know what on. Do you have any snakes, do you know how to keep them, have you bred them before...?

And also, you gave people about 50 minutes to reply before asking again...patience is a virtue. ;) Anyway, if you give us some more information we'll be happy to help.

thanks

Well I just got a butter and an amelanistic, But they are both 3 months old. I know I have to wait two years before they can mate, but can I house them in the same cage? :crazy02:

noooooo wait until they're the right size, then house them together. If you keep them together at a young age the male will try to mate, which stresses the female. also if the female gets pregnant at a young age she may die!

Correction-you have to wait 2 years 9 months. And also, never under ANY circumstances co-habitate a male and a female. You will have eggs, the female will be too small, and she will die.

sorry

Oh I haven't been on my computer in a while. I don't have a good enough camera but I will get one soon.
