I despise it. :p It is the online equivalent, along with Bebo, facebook, and the rest of those sites, of being repeatedly stabbed and having your wallet stolen online. :grin01:

Seconded a hundred times!! I can't stand myspace! Too many people use it as a replacement for personal interaction.
 
I was all over it, but I quit since it was bought out by Rupert Murdoch. Not trying to inject politics here, we all believe what we believe and I don't try to change anyone's mind.
But for the record, those who believe as I do, you might want to be aware of that takeover. I try not to help that guy make a dime lol..

On a side note and kinda funny, since I quit, I've had friends calling me and asking why I removed them from my friends!! I explained that I hadn't, I just quit altogether. Well since then, I find myself talking regularly to people I hadn't in years.

It's pretty cool to be involved more directly in the lives of my friends, how'd I forget about that?
 
I have a profile on myspace, but don't really use it much at all. Myspace is full of 12 year old camwhores and trolls.
 
I felt the same way, but then after talking to Home Grown Herps, he only had to mention "Free Advertising" to catch my attention... Now I talk to breeders from all over the US, that are on forums I don't visit, so I guess you can add "Networking" to reasons why as well...

That might be true, but that doesn't make myspace any less of a viable tool. It's like most things these days, especially tech things such as computers and cell phones, they are great tools but in the hands of idiots they become nothing more than useless and potentially dangerous annoyances. And it's like anything on the net, the net is only going to be as good as the people using it. That's not the fault of the technology, it's the fault of the people, the culture, the mentality. So, don't disparage and ignore the tools out there just because people choose to use them ignorantly, instead, show the possibilities of what good these resources can be used for. Try to inspire instead of despise :)

Youre right... there are alot of 12 year olds there but It's not right to call them camwhores.

Do you know what a camwhore is? There are a lot of camwhores on myspace. This is inarguable fact, and is beside the point that I was making a joke. Don't be so sensitive.
