Need advice on eggs??

Tim66/corns

I have no Accent
So here is the situation. I have eggs that should be hatching while I am in Daytona this year. Not sure what to do. If i leave them to themselves they will be about 5 days old on my return if in fact they hatch on time?
They are not in and incubator but set up to hatch in one of my extra vibs in my snake rack. So no chance of escape & I can leave a dish of water for them.
Now I know they will be o.k for at least 3 days on their own because of they yolk sack they digested.
So should I leave them or chance moving them to a friends for hatching while I am away??
Thanks I just want to do what is best for them.

Tim,

I am a nut about taking my hatchlings out right away so I don't know about leaving them in there. Most people don't try to feed them until they shed at about 10 days or so. I suspect you will be told it is fine to leave them there.

In any case if you are worried about leaving them I would be happy to keep them here in my incubator.

You will be fine, leave them be and when you return they will be waiting for you.
I have a clutch at day 66 as of today, and I will be leaving for 5 days so I also expect to come home and find mine waiting.
I usually let my clutches hatch and I leave them in their egg containers all together til their 1st shed. I feel the vermiculite and moss keep them moist and aids in their 1st shed.
After they shed I seperate them and offer them their 1st meal. I do place a water dish in with them, but I have been told it really is not needed as they are still absorbing their yolk.
