i have a baby sand boa and he is having a hard time with his first shed since i've had him and he is less active than normal...any advice??? any help would be appreciated. thank you
Give him a good hour long soak in a ventilated tub using water around 85 degrees which will loosen the skin. Then take him out and gently using a wet washcloth let him squirn throuh it in your hand pulling the shed off slowly
I am having the same problem... except for with a snake that I have seen have several good sheds. Does this still work when they haven't started to shed yet, and should have several days ago?
I provide mine with a humid hide. Instead of cutting a hole in the top, I cut it near the bottom. I've found that bad sheds can be cleared up with a good soak or a romp in some damp moss.
thank you danielle!!!! i've had him soaking for just a few minutes and it's already working! so i'm just going to let him soak a little longer and use a wet washcloth like you said thanks again, samantha
