Need to build CO2 Chamber

I am looking to build a CO2 chamber to help control my mouse population, as only one eats live, and the rest eat f/t. I saw a DIY a little bit ago but I lost it and I cannot find it.

The problem is, there is no Dry Ice around here, and I'm not even sure its legal in my state (its not sold at grocery stores, or my local ice house), either way, I'm sure its not cheap.

I know the DIY I saw, had a CO2 cartridge/dispenser from a (Paint Ball Gun?) and some PVC pipe, does anyone know of this one? :-/

Or, if there is an easy way to build a CO2 chamber or a way to euthenize mice without cervical dislocation, please tell me how I could make an effective, and cheap one. :)

I did find a link before but now I cant, typical. My last lot that I needed to Co2 we got a bottle of gas and attached a pipe then put a load of gas into a plastic storage tub then dropped the mice in and closed the lid and hey presto dead mice.

You can build proper chamber but we just borrow a bottle of gas from our local pup whenever needed.

I don’t have pictures but I will try to describe one. First go to the local paint ball store and buy a 20 oz co2 bottle. It is about the size of a quart bottle. The canister will cost about $20 but the gas will only cost about $2.00. One canister will last a long time and they are cheap to refill. You will need a valve for the co2 canister and that will be another $20 or so.

I use a Rubbermaid sweater box. I drilled a hole in the side at the bottom of the box so I could put a rubber hose from the co2 tank into the sweater box. Put paper towels in the bottom of the box because the mice will all pee as they die.

Put the mice in the Rubbermaid, put the lid on, and very slowly introduce the gas. The lid will leak enough to allow the air to escape as the box fills with co2. Leave the lid on and everything in place for about 10 minutes.

Hope that helps.

Thank You.

I have been looking around for a CO2 tank and found some.
Now, I have found site by Case Western Reserve University and it talks about CO2 euthanasia and it states...
Neonatal animals (up to 14 days of age) are resistant to the effects of CO2, therefore, alternative methods are recommended. Carbon dioxide may be used for narcosis of neonatal animals provided it is followed by another method of euthanasia (i.e. decapitation using sharp blades).
If this is correct would I have to use cervical dislocation after or is it fine just to put them in the freezer/feed right away?
