I bought a red eyed ASF last week and put in with the others. All went well for two days then I went to check on them the next morning and they had ate her face off.:puke01: I got another red eyed one and put her in her own cage and tried to put another female with her but she was attacked almost as soon as they where together. None of them are of breading age yet. Both females where from different places so I dont think it was a smell or something they did not like. Has anyone else had a problem with putting new mice in with other groups? Is there something I should be doing before I try to put them together? Any and all ideal would be great.

ASFs are territorial and don't normally allow new adults in. If you have absolutely no choice you might try doing a complete cleaning first and remove anything that might be scented. Then introduce them all together in the newly cleaned cage. A different cage completely would be even better.

They are not adults yet but I will give there cages a total cleaning and see if that helps. thanks

as already been said, completly clean everything out, but keep some of the dirty bedding, and put the ASF that you are planning to introduce in it, it sounds harsh but is better than it being killled, you need to try rub a bit of the dirty bedding all over the ASF that you are introducing, and then it will smell of the colony you are introducing it to. it may not work, but so far its the only way i have manage to do it successfully.
