I may have "accidentally" ended up with a new baby. one of my coworkers bought and couldn't keep this little dude so here we are! she is only 7 grams!!!

I got a few crappy cell photos before letting her settle into her new home (excuse my room lol)

Congrats on such a beautiful little snake!

Do you have a name for it yet?? :crazy02:

Congrats. Their loss is your gain. From what I can see of those nice that borders in the pictures, you have a beautiful Okeetee corn snake there.

thank you! and now that you mention it, she does look like an Okeetee! I can't wait to see her mature and see what colors come through!

also, I am thinking her name will be Lilith, the demon who is the personification of female sexuality and power, and also the enlightener of women. seems like a nice strong name for a little spitfire like she has seemed to be in my short handling session today!

When I first looked I wondered hybrid as well, but if so this little one looks more corn than anything else.

How do you spot a hybrid? I am not well versed enough to see differences like that i suppose!

Head shape and pattern. Body pattern. Coloration. It gets more difficult if say only one grandparent is not a corn and three are. Your little one looks a lot different than the hybrid pictured. Take the head shape and pattern. I just looked at a bunch of Okeetee pics online and your baby has more in common with them than the hybrid pictured.

But there was something in the yellow, which may just be your pic, the head shape and the body pattern and belly which may be fully corn, but seem to have a hint of something I can't place. I'm not a morph or hybrid expert so I hope someone can give you more info.

P.S. I love the name. If someone else hadn't made the comparison, I never would have mentioned my fleeting wondering. She's lovely and if she were mine without expert evidence to the contrary I'd call her Okeetee phase (that's because only snakes with traceable lineage are locality Okeetee.)

thats pretty cool! maybe it will be more obvious when she is older if she is. either way I love her and can't wait to see her grow up! I am interested to see how that yellow changes mostly

I just remembered where I've seen yellow like that. On a caramel corn baby. I wonder.

She's really neat. The more I study her pics, the neater she is! Looking forward to her progress pics.

once she has had her settle in time I will definitely whip out the good camera and try to get as true to color photos as possible! she really is quite striking, I am so glad I ended up with her! (she's sooo tiny too, Asmodeus was twice her size when I got him!)

She was giving me a staredown and begging for food (she was used to mondays being food days so i was late!!) so i gave her the tiniest red i could find. I wish i filmed her eating rather than photos because that was hilarious!

The mouse started at the other end of the tupperware. And she was fully in it originally. She dragged it all the way over

Then she becomes little miss contortionist. I dont think thats how you actually strangle a mouse Lilith lol

Omg, she's so cute tossing that mouse back! The more I see of her the more I think caramel corn. She's just stunning.

I was cracking up watching her! she is sooo pretty, I can't wait to watch her grow!! I am especially interested to see where that yellow coloring ends up. She is just adorable and I love her

The good news is that unless this little one is bred, it doesn't matter except as a point of curiosity. What matters is that she is adorable, eating, and very, very loved.
