Hello!

I am the 24-hour owner of a young corn snake. The employee at Petco said they are usually fed on Thursdays, so about 48 hours ago. While researching afterwards, I stumbled onto this site. I registered after a bit, in case I needed advice. Wish me luck!

Welcome!

My name is Monty; I live in Brooklyn and have 4 corns, 3 adults & 1 9-month old (uncertain if that's a hatchling, a yearling or an in-between).

Is this your first corn snake? Interesting name; how "red" is he?

Either way, you're certainly in the right place!

Later!

Hello, Monty! I believe mine is fairly young. I'm pretty sure it is under six months, though I don't recall asking.

It is. He's not "bloodred". I've narrowed it down to Ultra-Mel, Hypo A, and Amelanistic. In all honesty, it's probably a Classic, though Red is quite good-looking. He was the most active, as while all other four or five were all cuddled together, he was roaming around. He was probably either the "runt" or dominant, as the entire time both times I went he was the most active. Red is very strong, and he appears to be able to handle up to two-thirds of his body being in front of where he was holding onto me.

Welcome to the forum! Feel free to ask us any questions. This site is a great resource for research - definitely check out the stickies. And once your guy gets settled in, we'd love to see some pics! He sounds very cute.
