Hello all. My name is Becky and I am new to the forum, and to corn snakes. I have a ribbon and a garter, but have always enjoyed the larger snakes. I was able to purchase one at the reptile show a few weeks back, and am thrilled. I have been researching them like mad, but really wanted to find soem people whom I could discuss them with. I'm so glad I found this site. Can't wait to get to know all of you and learn everything I can about corn snakes. By the way, Popcorn is a 3 week old Okeetee male, with a bloodred dad (which I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not).

hi popcornsmama welcome to the forum ..i hope u enjoy your visits here as i do...beutiful looking cornsnake aswell

Thanks. I'm a little concerned because he seems like a picky eater, but other than that, he's great. It took 2 tries the first time to eat, and we are on our third try with this fuzzy. Are they supposed to stink (the fuzzies)? he was prekilled at the pet store, and then I brought him home and froze him. But I have noticed he really stinks. Do you think i should toss him and get a new one?

Welcome to the forum. It's hard to tell from your picture exactly how big your snake is, but he may not be ready for fuzzies yet.

I picked up a baby hypo at this past reptile show in north carolina. He was born on Aug. 15 and has fed twice since i've had him, but seems to be picky too. He will only take the smallest pinkies I have, which are day olds and will not go anywhere near anything larger.
