Hello, everyone. I just joined the forum today. I do not yet have a pet corn snake but hope to get one in a couple of months. I'm holding off until I have the proper equipment and a cage all set up for one...could be a while. In the meantime I've been enjoying research, research, research. I feel confident that I know what I need to in order to properly care for one of these little guys. When I do get one, I will have a 30 gallon tank for him/her as they are very active. :3 I haven't yet decided on what color morph I like best, though I tend to feel brighter is better.

I'll probably be nosing around the forum for a while. I have met a breeder online who is reputable and feeds frozen/thawed pinkies to his (young) snakes with a guarantee that they are good eaters. It is nice to know the person that I may purchase from in the future. I much prefer buying through a breeder rather than a pet store.

Anyway, I digress. Howdy. ;)
 
Welcome to the forum! I'm glad to hear your taking the time to setup everything and do your research first...It truely is the best way to go..And never be nervous to ask any questions..people on here are very understanding and always willing to give their advice :0)

And remember...once you get one..ya just won't be able to stop! lol..

I already like what I see while browsing around. I had the chance to read a banned member post, haha, that was pretty funny. I know all too well how that goes. ;)

I do have a site question at the moment. Yours (Des) and my avatars are pretty much the same size, but other people have larger avatar pics. I had a lot of trouble even getting my tiny one to upload, as the comp kept telling me it was too many "KBs" or something like that. I reduced the file size in Photoshop but really wish I could have a larger avatar. Can you even tell that's an African Clawed Frog? Haha.

I will probably be asking a multitude of questions when I get around to setting up for the snake. There are always information discrepancies. I did however see some great corn snake book recommendations that I think I'll try out before questioning anyone.

Right now I am very busy reading about everyone else's pet corns in order to keep myself from jumping in too quickly. ;)
