Ok, so I understand trying to make the careerfield more "shiny" to those thinking of becoming joystick jockeys.
But seriously!?! How in the world are they going to say that the men on the ground, putting their lives in danger, are less than those flying a un-manned drone from halfway across the world?
Apparently drones pilots are better than our men on the ground.... http://www.airforcetimes.com/news/2...for-drone-pilots-outranks-bronze-star-021313/
I feel the need to mention, that I have been fighting for a while now, in an attempt to recieve a BSM (Bronze Star Medal) that I was denied by my highers, due to my rank. Their exact words were "Do not write SrA Blount up for a BSM because he is not a team chief. We do not care what you think he deserves."... Luckily my team chief wrote it in such a way that it should have been upgraded, but wasn't. In fact, he refused to write any of our team up for BSM's, but himself and our other team member both recieved BSM's, as did all of the other AF members in the firefight that we were in... All E-5 and above... And yet, I was the one in the turret the entire 10 1/2 hours, firing on the enemy and almost getting hit with RPG's....
As you can tell, it made me a little bitter....
